April continues to be a wondrous turning point at Snug Harbor Farm and this year is no exception. The build up to the big Easter Egg Hunt is palpable as we hope the snow has receded and mud dried up enough to provide us with the perfect conditions for an excellent hunt. There are lots of activities planned around the property on Saturday, April 20th besides the big hunt. See the full schedule here.
Before we get to the big weekend we are going to hold a workshop focusing on creating festive head gear, for your next party or Easter Parade! (see above). We love pulling together unconventional materials, working them back to botanical elements for fun, festive, fashionable accents for you to sport around town. You will, too.
The last weekend in the month shifts our focus fully to getting our gardening on! Our obsession with food and feasting translates to vegetable gardening and a Seed Propagating Workshop that will give us all a good jump-start in the right direction. Join us and leave with a tray full of goodies to grow, as we wait for temperatures to rise.
To help refine your own visions of vegetable gardens, we’re bringing in an expert, Matt Mattus, who has published a beautiful book on the subject: Mastering the Art of Vegetable Gardening. Matt will discuss his top ten revelations made while researching and working on this indispensable guide. This lecture will fill up fast. Reserve a seat while there’s still some space here.
Spring is brimming with possibilities and we’re looking forward to sharing all we can to help make yours the best it can be. See you on the farm!
